November 2001: Legal Business features Steve Clark and Sally's campaign.
Dr Zakaria Erzinclioglu, a forensic scientist who has done two reports on
Sally's case, appeared on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire on the Christopher South
programme on Wednesday 31 October. He was
asked if he had ever come across any cases of miscarriages of justice and
discussed Sally's case, concentrating on
the statistics. He described
Meadow's evidence as rather like an expert viewing a herd of horses and
observing that they all have 4 legs, therefore all animals with 4 legs are
horses.
The Today programme on Radio
4 featured an interview with Sally's father, Franck Lockyer, in an article
about miscarriages of justice. Mon 30/7/01.
Thursday July 26th, BBC Radio 4Woman's hour
featured an interview with Steve Clark.
Sunday, July 15, BBC Radio 5 Live, 12-12.30pm:
"73 million to one. ... how reliable is
this figure? As Sally fights her conviction and continues
to protest her innocence, John Sweeney examines her story and
other cases of women who have gone to prison for life on the basis
of testimony which proved to be far from expert."
(from Radio Times). Transcript Follow-ups:
This radio programme was also mentioned in the Six o'clock news on Radio 4
