Introduction

The programs on this page were designed to help people with severe physical disabilities play live music as part of a group. They all require the c74.sitetheme.pictsoul.logo digital signal processing platform Max/MSP to run. A fully functional thirty-day free trial of Max/MSP can be downloaded from www.cycling74.com. One of the programs also requires Jitter, which can be found at the same site.

An able-bodied user can use a standard mouse to perform music with these programs, but they were designed to be operated by a SmartNav unit. SmartNav is an infrared head mouse, available commercially from www.naturalpoint.com. [SmartNav also works well with Dasher.]

Please email talljonhall@hotmail.com with any questions or feedback. If you hold down control and click on any of these programs whilst they are open in Max/MSP, you'll be able to see how they're put together, and you might be able to figure out how to improve them.
